PRODUCT DETAILS
Taking up the challenge of developing a barrel-shaped movement without making any technical compromises, the Maison Chopard created the L.U.C Heritage Grand Cru adorned with 2.90 carats of baguette-cut diamonds. Ultra-thin and gracefully curved this elegant timepiece features an automatic movement with the in-house developed 97.01-L calibre and a 22-carat gold micro-rotor.
Fully developed, produced and assembled in the Chopard High Watchmaking workshops, this COSC-certified chronometer, the self-wound L.U.C 97.01-L mechanical movement, is the first tonneau-shaped calibre developed by the Chopard Manufacture in 1997. It oscillates at a rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and offers a 65-hour power reserve thanks to Twin technology, a Chopard-patented system that combines two coaxial barrels and represents a particularly remarkable technical feat in light of the extreme slenderness of its 3.3 mm-thick movement. This movement is wound by a micro-rotor in 22-carat gold.
